The point of duct insulation is simple: the air that left the air handler should still be at design temperature when it reaches the space. If the duct is running through a hot roof plenum, a cold garage, or an outdoor rack, covering is what keeps the load on the equipment instead of the building.

Where Condensation Shows Up
Cold ducts sweat when they run through warm, humid air without a sealed vapor barrier. Common problem spots in Washington buildings include penthouses, garages, crawl spaces, unconditioned shafts, and outdoor supply from rooftop units. If wrap is torn, missing at fittings, or installed without a continuous vapor seal, water follows.
We treat those details as part of the install, not extras. Joints, fittings, and hangers are where most duct insulation fails. Covering the straight duct and leaving the fittings open is how leaks start.

This is commercial and industrial HVAC insulation. We do not sell residential attic, wall, or spray-foam packages. If the duct is part of a mechanical system on a commercial, industrial, or marine job, that is the work we bid.
